Join Us!

Involvement at 'Our Neighborhood Community Garden' is super easy! At its most basic level, it's just showing up for a cup of coffee and a visit. You may want to help tend a garden bed or water plants, or you may find that you really just enjoy reading by the fountain, or walking the labyrinth, or talking to whoever is around. We would encourage you to do whatever speaks to your soul, whatever brings you joy.

Please note: We are volunteer-led and so our hours vary. The hours for the week to come are posted every Sunday evening on the calendar, below, as well as on our Instagram page.

Scroll down to discover three specific ways that you can get involved at ONCG.

1. Volunteer

There are lots of ways to volunteer at ONCG, including working in the community garden beds, adopting a garden bed or other areas of the garden, pulling weeds, planting flowers, harvesting, watering, sweeping, maintaining the labyrinth or meditation garden, opening & closing, hosting, filling bird baths & feeders, serving at events, and lots more. No gardening experience or long- term time commitment required. We're just happy to have you here.

We would also love to talk to you about your special skills & interests. Maybe you are a cook or musician or other type of artist? Maybe your skills are in the areas of building, fixing, gardening, or teaching classes or workshops? Or perhaps you know about grant writing or fundraising or other areas of administration? Let's brainstorm ways to use your talents to further the cause of love and belonging.

2. Attend An Event

Plans are for regular events at the garden, including "Breakfast in the Garden", "Movies in the Garden", classes from Master Gardeners, artists, and more. These events can be found on the calendar, below, and on our Instagram page. We would love for you to be there!

3. Donate

The garden is wholly dependent on donations and is maintained by an all-volunteer group of people with a dream to create a safe and healing space for everybody. Visit our Donate page to learn more.
